2-sided pages

Have been unable to find how to print pages on 2 sides. I
have something requiring 26 pages. When I had Windows 98
it wasn't a problem, but with Windows XP Home Program I'm
stuck.
Would appreciate being shown how to resolve this problem.
Thank you. Awaiting your assistance.

Hi ...

Since you didn't indicate which printer you have, it's a bit difficult to respond ... but, generically speaking, many printer manufacturer have elected not to provide updated XP printer software/drivers for their older printers, but instead have provided basic drivers included with XP which will allow the printer to function but does not include the advanced features such as double-sided printing.

You might try the Win2000 drivers from the manufacturers web site and, if you're lucky, that will work ... otherwise, you can print one page, turn it over and print page 2, etc, etc. However, If you're printing 26 pages ... you might consider a new printer.

You don't tell us what make and model of printer you have but if this is one
of the discontinued models from HP, they decided not to write updated
drivers for them. Microsoft provided drivers so that you could still use
the printer, but they may not have the advanced features you were used to.

I do not have any HP printers, but I am told you can regain those advanced
features by using the software at www.fineprint.com. 2-sided pages is
correctly called duplex printing.
