two-sided printing woes, HP printer on XP

Venu

I own an HP 832C deskjet which used to have a two-sided
printing (print on front and back of sheet) option in
Windows 98. I recently upgraded to XP, and am unable to
find this option in the 832C driver supported in XP. I
find an option to print two pages on one sheet (front
only), but not to use both the front and back of the
sheet.

Assistance is appreciated

I'm having the same problem. Not only that, XP won't let
me install the manufacturer's driver.

Please email fixes to dm498(REMOVE)@aol.com

Thanks!

The printer is long discontinued and HP decided it wasn't economically
viable to write new software for it. Microsoft included drivers so that you
could still use the printer, but their software does not have the advanced
functions you were used to in Windows9x.

Use the software from www.fineprint.com and you can regain the duplex
functionality.

Thanks for the info. I've used Fineprint before so I guess I'll go back to
them.

Thanks much. A little more cumbersome than the native driver, but I'll take two-sided printing anyway I get it
