I have inhertited a 2 server AD environment at my new
company. When setting up my Id and some other new hires I
noticed that logins are inconsistennt. I seems that
people that have been here a while do not have this
problem. I think the users accounts are not syncing
bettween the 2 servers, as often myself and the new users
get "invaid account" when trying to login. If you re-
boot, and wait a while it will then log you in. I am
assuming it is a sync problem becasue if when I get
an "invalid account", I can logoin as the administrator,
or a long established user.

Any thoughts would be appretiated.

Assuming the two servers are in the same AD domain, check the event logs for
File Replication Service errors.

Yes they are on the same AD domain. The event log has
some error sfrom last motnh saying "i could not bind to a
domain controller". More recently however there are only
information logs saying that "the system volume is now
ready to be shared as SYSVOL"

Does the SYSVOL have to replicated to the other server?

Regards
