2 page spreads

I received a word document set up as a 2 page spread. I want to convert it to
a 1 up page (5.5 x 8.5). Can't find where to change.
 
I think you're referring to Read Layout. If that is the case you can go to
View and select Print view and that should resolve your problem. I hope this
is helpful to you.
