2 page report in legal size paper

Hi,

I want to design a report which contains a lot of columns and hence
occupies around 23 inches in the access design. I want the single report page
of 23 inches to be splitted into 2 page report in legal size. Now If my report
is 22 inches, which occupies the entire report width area, I could get the
report splitted into 2 pages. But, if my report exceeds 22 inches, I could
not design the report. Is there any other way to accomplish the same?

Is there way to design two separate reports and merge them into one while
printing as one PDF file from Access 2000? if so,I want the merging to be
done on the access side and not on the acrobat writer side.

is there any way to accomplish this by using subreports?
Thanks in advance for your help.

There is no way to have a report exceed the 22" format restriction for a
single report. You can use two subreports that may grow to a value larger
than that but paper length would be an issue; include a page break between
subreports if you want it to print on two different sheets of paper.

Regarding merging PDFs, take a look at our PDF and Mail Library for Access.
If you have any number of PDF printers, our library will allow you to
automate output of the report to a PDF and then merge (using the Pro or Pro
Plus editions) those files into one file.

Hi Steve,

I would prefer to do this using subreports as my client will not accept for
buying an Add-ins.

I designed two sub reports for legal size paper. Then tried to put both side
by side in the main report so that the first subreport will be printed in odd
pages and the second subreport in even pages. Problem is , I couldn't
accomodate whole of second subreport in the main report page as it exceeds
22''. The page break always appear on the left most corner and I couldn't
place it between the subreports which are kept side by side.

Is there any property that can be used to set the subreport width ,left and
right irrespective of how it's placed in the main report?

Thanks,
