I have Win.XP home on C: and XP.Pro on F:. When I boot up
a message stateing 10 seconds to choose between Home and
Pro. How do I remove the OS on C: drive. As a birthday
present my grandaughter did this for me thinking having
both systems would be great. Not knowing that only one
system is needed to operate this machine. Please help me
to remove. Thanks for any and all help.

hey

put in a windows XP CD - run teh setup - and in it wen u
get the option to format and partition - format the drive
that holds the copy of windows you dont want and create a
new blank partition

or use something like partitionmagic (i think its made by
symantec now... http://www.symantec.co.uk) if ur not so
used 2 not very user-friendly prompts

What Simon means is this: Back up any data that you want to save and then do
a clean install of XP Pro.. you can do this by booting from the XP Pro cd to
partition and format, or you can use a Win 98 boot diskette to clear the
drive, followed by a boot from the XP Pro cd.. whatever you feel happier
doing..
