2 Network Connections - Connected

I have two network connections that are connected (activity status) when I
log in... Neither are a wireless connection. I am not sure which one to use
or if I should do anything:

1. 1394 Connection - 1394 Net Adapter #2
2. Local Area Connection - Realtek Family Fast Eterhnet NIC

It says I get 400 mbs with the 1394 Net Adapter 2, but no activity when
connected. I get 100 mbs with the Realtek Eterhnet NIC Connection. This
connection gived me my internet connection. But when I switch to the 1394
connection to see if my internet, I can not access the internet through
Comcast.

What connection should I be using?
Should I be connecting to the internet through my cable moden using the
faster connection?

The 1394 network connection id the IEEE 1394 Firewire port. You do not
usually have a Firewire cable modem and most cable modems do not do the high
400 mbs speeds anyway.

Realtek Eterhnet NIC Connection

The cable modem is NOT FireWire compliant andwon't makw a difference. If if Comcast was
delivering 10Mb/s it is still less that 100Mb/s of the Realtek Eterhnet NIC.

Disable the FireWire network adapter in Device Manager --> network adapters.

The 1394 connection is for Firewire. Your network connection is made
through the ethernet adapter (Realtek).
