Making a disasterous story concise. I had a 20GB hard drive that was down to
only 5GB and was afraid of a potential crash senario. I went and purchased a
120GB hard drive as a replacement. The install proceedures I went through are
as follows: First I setup the new HD as a Slave and copied all data from the
Master onto it. As per directions I then set both HD's to Cable Select. (I am
leaving out all the openings, closings, power off's, on's and cords
disconnect's in between each step.) After all was completed I then made the
new HD the Master and left the original HD disconnected. After power up I got
a screen that requested that I choose between 2 "Windows (default)" boot
records even though there is only one HD connected. After that I re-connected
the original HD as a Slave in the hopes of correctiing the double boot
records. It has made no difference what-so-ever. If there is any hope of
returning to a normal boot-up please help an extremely desparate man!
