2 hours or1 hour?

HIYA,
I have this 25gig DVD-AVI file that i sucked from my video camera in MM

When I burn it to DVD in Sonic, I'm allowed to burn only 1 hour at a time.
This one our takes the entire 4.3 gig of the DVD.

I thought I could get two hours on a DVD

What is the deal?

Just under, depending how how it's encoded. About 17gb is the most I've
managed on a 2 hour DVD-R.... which is basically 2 hours of tv with the
commercials removed.
