dear w2k gurus

i have an office with one physical network. two separate w2k3 domains run on
this network with different ip-ranges. i'd like to install dhcp on both
dc's. how can i make sure, that clients from domain1 only get ip-addresses
out of their range and clients from domain2 only receive addressed from the
range provided by their dc.

thanx alot

In addition to Richard's response...
There is no relationship with Domains -vs- network topology and TCP/IP
config. None at all.
If the Domains are on the same "wire", they should be using the same TCP/IP
range.
If you want two ranges,...run two network segments like Richard said. But
even then the Domains don't have to follow the segments,...both Domains
could just as easily cross both segments,...and normally do. I've had 3
Domains on one segment before and have also had (still have) 2 Domains
running over 3 segments with the possibility of increasing to 9 segments
with no Domain change.

The topology governs the DHCP setup,...not the Domains. What would you do
if you have all Unix/Linux machines which have no Windows Domains, but they
*do* also use DHCP in many cases? There are things like the Authorization
of Windows based DHCP that has to be dealt with but that would be worried
about when everything else is settled first.
