2 copies of personal folders

I've transferred my outlook files to a new computer and somehow ended up with
2 copies of my personal folders (and all sub folders) in my outlook mail
folders. I can't find anyway to get rid of one of them. Is there any way to
delete one of these duplicate folders?
 
If you right click on the duplicate "personal folders" (not the one that has
Outlook Today next to it) and select Close, do you get an error? If yes,
you most likely will have to create a new mail profile via the mail applet
in the control panel (don't copy the existing one) and delete the old one.
 
Creating a new mail profile (and deleting the old one) did the trick. Thanks!
