1st page 2000 or HTML-kit

All,

I'm looking for a good free HTML editor and pricelessware list both 1st
page 2000 and HTML-kit as recommendations. If you were going to suggest
one of these for a newbie HTML editor which would it be and why?

Thanks,
Mike

As a NoteTab Pro user, I had talked my boss into buying it for business
use, then I figured what the heck, I'll try HK first. I was very
impressed with how powerful a program it has become.

Summary:
I saved the company $20.

My suggestion is to download and use both and then use what works best
for you :)

Also check out NVU (http://www.nvu.com/), a WYSIWYG editor that I find
terrific. Very much like Front Page 2000, which I've been using.

Neither. I suggest having a look a Stone's Webwriter
http://www.webwriter.dk/english/

V. 3.5.2. Danish: V. 4.0.7

" Easy-to-use dialogues, right-click editing, code completion and
syntax high-ligthing, so you can get started without knowing HTML.
WebWriter is for the professional as well as the beginner who wants
full control and insight. Cascading Style Sheets and image maps!
Project managing, sitemap [...] etc. etc. etc."

I hate to pull a switcheroo on you, but I think NVU is easier to use and
better than both.

NVU is easy to use for html newbies (like me). Don't know about the other
programs.

Well I don't know if the OP is a newbie with websites, but if he doesn't
know html, a WYSIWYG editor is best , so NVU is one of the possible
choices since it has one such mode.
