1607 error

Installshield gives me 1607 error. Tried everything on
Installshield site, no good. Went back to vendor of
software (Canon) they sent me back to Installshield. The
only thing I have found is to install an updated version
of the IsScript file but when I download it and try to
run it I get a message that says "Windows Installer
Service could not be accessed." and that this can happen
in safe mode (I am not) or if the Windows Installer is
not properly installed (I've installed scores of things
before this with no problem). Also when I try to go to
the security tab to make sure the use has administrative
authorization it says the tabs are disabled because they
are in use by the operating system. Any help would be
greatly appreciated as I am sitting in a 400 dollar
camera and cannot put the images on my system. Thank you.

Hi Don,

Suggestions:

Go to Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /unregister [click ok]

Then Start/Run and type in:
msiexec /regserver [click ok]
