1603 Error

T

Todd

I had recieved the update on my MSN messenger that the
newest version (6.2) was available. I currently had 6.1.
I downloaded the new update, and recieved this error -

'Cannot create the
directory 'C:\WINDOWS\Installer\{ABEB838C-A1A7-4C5D-B7E1-
8B4314600137}'. A file with this name already exists.
Please rename or remove the file and click retry, or
click cancel to exit.'

I searched for the file and it isn't on my computer. I
also cannot find 'C:\Windows\Installer'. I used the
computer search to search the C Drive and still could not
find this file. I click cancel, the messenger
installation cancels, and says 'installation failed,
error code 1603'. Now, I can't open MSN Messenger because
the one I had pre-update was corrupted when 6.2's
installation was halted to do this error message. What
should I do?
