16 BIt MS DOS Subsystem

When I boot up my computer, after XP loads, I get a DOS screen with the following error message
16 Bit MS DOS Subsyste
C:\Windows\System32\UFMEFN~1.EX
NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instructio
Close progra
Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks.
 
I am getting the same thing occasionally while logged on....except, my error
reads C:\..............\Temp(sometimes msbb) \optimize.exe. The NTVDM CPU
has encountered an illegal instruction. C5:0e6e IP:0109 OP:63 74 20 68 61
Choose close to terminate the appilication.

I downloaded a program called Error Nuker (works similar to Norton Works) in
that it checks Window errors. I did so because I read someone did that had a
similar error and it fixed it....it didn't fix mine. I am not sure what is
causing it but will continue to search.

No CLUE here. But I get the same thing and AM NOT able to play alot o
games because this message is popping up and saying the same thing....
recently Upgraded my Video card to an ATI Radeon 9200 Graphics card.
and after that I get this message... I have Windows XP Pro. But befor
I got this New video card , Every Game played just fine with no problem
and then I upgrade and I get this damn message. I am going to try t
fool with the graphics settings to see if can get any results with it.
I will keep you posted unless you come up with an answer that could hel
me too
