16 bit error/ not enough mem also!

I have 2000pro and I cannot install any of my older games. I recieve an error
referring to 16 bit applications and that it will only run in a win 95
environment...I was told if I install XP that they will work...not a fan of
xp but is this true?

Yes, Windows XP has Application Compatibility Mode that you can use to do
this. It sounds like the actual installer executables are the programs that
need this compatibility mode.

Maybe. Without you or someone else testing the game you won't know.
Windows XP does provide better gaming support for older games than
Win2000 does, BUT still doesn't allow direct hardware access. I suggest
you visit a vendor support site for the game in question for a
definitive response.
