I just installed WinXP, added SP2 and programs for a new user. after I
mapped T: to our server folder there appeard 15 other mapped network drives K
- Z (except T). All show as Disconnected Network Drive (letter):

When I try to disconnect them it says the network connection cannot be
found. I tried using net use /delete command and got simialr error.

this is a first here!

Any ideas?

I am having the same problem and it appears on login, when a user simply logs
out as apposed to restarting. If the user restarts everything is fine.

I have looked through all of the articles suggested including the auto
disconnect - turning it off and have recently upgraded the version of
symantec antivirus to 10.0.2.xxx, as was suggested in a note. I have also
tried delting the network drives at logon before the script runs.. None of
these seem to work.

I have been trying to get users to leave their machines on for WSUS server
to push and apply updates but I need to make sure these drives come back as
one of my applications needs to run off of the server and will not accept a
UNC path.

Please if anyone has suggestions please let me know.
Thanks

We also have the same problem here. We use XP professional clients with
windows server 2003 servers. Some users have it when they did not shut down,
only when they logged off. Rebooting seems to work for that day!
The drives are shown as disconnected, but the user can access all files on
that mapped drive.

We checked several discussion boards, but no result.
