You probably have one and don't know it. I kind of doubt it affects your
DSL connection, but you could disable it in device manager.

I have a 1394 Network Adapter even though I don't own a
1394 Device.
I have repeatedly tried to delete the Adapter but it keeps
coming back.
I have also deleted all network adapters and then
restarted and let windows find the adapters. It still came
back.
How do I get rid of this?
I think it is causing my DSL connection to cut out
randomly.

I agree that you probably have an IEEE 1394 port on your motherboard
that is listed in Device Manager as a 1394 Net Adapter and that you can
just disable it in Device Manager. I also agree that it is probably not the
cause of your issue of your DSL connection randomly disconnecting.
A much more likely cause would be some spyware trash on your system.
I suggest you scan your system with either one of these Anti Spyware
programs, or both of them if you want, and remove any spyware trash.
