same problem

I'm having the same problem. I have 2 of the maxtor diamondmax 10 300gb hard drives and under computer management, both of the drives says 151.48 gb unallocated. I have service pack 2 installed already. Also the drives has been reformatted before I installed everything. Any suggestions? Thanks for any help!

right click the unallocated space and you should be able to make a partition, it may be worth backing up important data to the other drive just to be safe

There is NO 'HD space missing' ... it's a numbers game HD manufacturers have played with us since time began ... 1000 v 1024 rule. ;)

With the advent of SATA2 it makes more sense to install smaller drives, especially where the OS resides ... 300gig HDs are fine for storage, but I'll keep my OS on a 120 max ... well until 300gig 10,000rpm drives become norm.

The HD is the 'bottleneck' on today’s systems.

Does anyone know how to sort the same problem out with a 300g Seagate Hard drive? with windows 2000 with service pack 3 (Downloading Service Pack 4 atm) on it. All I'm getting is 127gb capacity... :(
