I've got a huge problem:
when i tried to boot my computer this morning, it went terribly slow, XP pro
used up to 100% of the CPU for about 5 minutes, then i finally got my
desktop with all the icons, XP was to slow to work with, and then after a
minute it completly frooze.
I rebooted a couple of times, but got the same thing over and over again. I
just got a new HD last week, so i took that out, but now XP starts up 'till
i see my desktop-background picture and then stops.
I've been running XP a couple of days with my new HD and everything was
fine.
The only thing i can think of is that i tried to run 'verifier' using
start-->run and i think i choose 'create standard settings' in an attempt to
fix a video problem. I have absolutely no idea what that is or does though,
so i guess that was pretty stupid.
When i boot in the safemode, everything works fine.
Who can PLEASE help me, i really need my computer !
Thanks a lot !
Sjoerd.
