100% cpu usage for one user

Patrick

I am running Win XP Home Edition with SP1 and have setup
4 users and a guest account on a Pentium 4 2.26ghz PC,
512mb ram, 80gb harddrive.
All users run fine, but one user has extremely slow
performance. I go to Task Manager and find that the cpu
usage is at 100% with no applications running. If I log
out of that user and log into another user, the cpu usage
is normal, fluctuating between 2-7% usage with no apps
running. However, if I don't logout of the user with the
slow response and just switch users, then the cpu usage
for all accounts is 100%.
I have run Norton's System works several times and found
no viruses or disk errors.

try to see what PROCESSES run with the "bad" user and
comper this to the "good" user
now think if u need that program if u do go to the webpage
of that program and see if there is update or something
ilke that, if u don't just kill her (don't forget to
change the MSCONFIG startup to make sure that she stay
dead)
