Mark,
I am also recieving the same Stop message but I am running Windows XP
Professional 64. I did find that it could be caused from a Malware and have
found instructions on what to look for in the Registry but the problem is I
can not boot far enough to get to the Registry editer in either normal mode
or safe mode. Is there another way to get to the registry to be able to edit
it? Any information that you can provide is very greatful and appreciated.

You are replying to a post by Mark Ferguson in November 2008. It is
doubtful that Mark will still be monitoring that conversation. Equally
it is often unhelpful to piggy back onto an earlier conversation because
although the circumstances may be similar to your own that may
similarity may be superficicial.

I am getting the message STOP: c000021a{Fatal system error} The widows logon
process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000135
(0x00000000 0x00000000).
The systen has been shut down. How can I fix this without reinstalling or
doing a total restoration?

Hi,

I had the same problem after deinstalling the Fritz Box DSL/WLAN
software (started using another DSL box) last week.
I did the following :
- used an Ubuntu LiveCD to boot
- copied the complete hard-disk on a remote Disc
- copied all (not necessary, but I did not know which DLLs I was
missing) DLL´s from c:\Windows\system32 to the remote disc
- copied all (again not really necessary) DLL´s from another pc
(Windows XP Professional SP3) with Ubuntu to my C:Drives Windows/
System32

After this I could start in Safe Mode. I reinstalled the Fritz Box DSL/
WLAN software from the CD and restarted the PC successfully.
I have since checked my software and noticed that it does not include
the Fritz software so I am not 100% which step brought back the DLL I
had lost but another description of failure on the net matches mine
exactly and there the Fritz Software was involved as well.

Good luck!
