I am getting error 0x800CCC78 when trying to send via SMTP Port 587, I am
within the firewall, so this is definitely a problem with the Windows Mail
program. Outlook Express works on this port. The server is Exchange
2007.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,
Eric Sabo

0x800CCC78 SMTP_REJECTED_SENDER Unknown sender. This is often
caused by having the incorrect e-mail address in the
Reply-To field.

Many people have used port 587 in Windows Mail without problems.

If you want much help, we usually need entire error mesages, not just
the error number. Click on them and try to copy them to your next
message.

If I remember correctly, many people using Exchange 2007 servers
have problems using them from Vista if the software updates for the server
are months behind what is now available.

Robert,

The servers are up-to-date.

If you want help, copy and paste the complete error message.
Post it verbatim, no transcribing.

Frank,

I do have the correct reply-to field correctly setup.

Any other ideas?

I am taking this to microsoft at this point.

I will post what they tell me and if we resolve the issue.

I understand about the complete error message.
