Play Fallout Shelter on PC

Fallout Shelter is a recently released game for Android and iOS that has become extremely popular. Unfortunately, there's no PC version of it and if you're playing on a phone you may find it a little awkward (on a tablet, it is great!).

Thankfully, with a few clever workarounds you can play this game on your PC in less than 10 minutes! It is extremely playable and works flawlessly. Essentially, we're playing the same Android version inside an emulator.

To begin, you'll need to download an Android emulator - in this tutorial we're using BlueStacks, as it is free and easy to use: http://www.bluestacks.com/. Grab this from the official site and proceed through the install as usual - be sure to allow "app store access" during this process.

Once you've got it installed and running, click the Search icon and type in "Fallout Shelter" then click the "Search Play for Fallout Shelter" button.

You'll then need to fallow a few steps to add a Google account by clicking continue and proceeding through the Google login/signup stage. There are quite a few straightforward prompts to follow, which will enable Google Play store access.

Once you have completed the one-time setup, you'll be transported to the app store. We had to search for "Fallout Shelter" once more when arriving at this page, then clicked on "more" next to the app column. You'll then need to scroll through the list and find the Fallout Shelter icon. Click the icon when you find it:

Now click install and accept the permission requirements. You may need to uncheck the "download using Wi-Fi only" prompt.

Once you're done, just click the green "Open" button to begin the game!

You'll also find that there has been a shortcut placed in the Apps folder on your desktop, you can move the icon from here to wherever you'd like for convenient access:
