Zone Alarm with Remote Desktop on XP - memory issues

It seems that even when I log off of r.d. properly, Zone Alarm still
seems to run up a ton of memory allocation (sometimes up to 300MB).
Has anyone experienced this or have an idea as to why this is
happening? It is specifically the VSMON.exe that is registering at
this level.
