Yahoo Messenger

Not sure which news group is the most appropriate for this question but
thought I would give this one a try.

Among others I have Yahoo Messenger on my computer and when I boot up it
comes up as well.

I have gone to msconfig an un-clicked it from the startup but this does not
solve the problem. Also when I go online it puts a tool bar on my internet
explorer.

My feeling is it should be minding it's own business and if I want to see it
I will call it up. How do I acheive this?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Open its options, you will find something like "Run at startup", untick that.
Also when I go online it puts a tool bar on my internet
explorer.

View > Toolbars > Untick Yahoo

AND, this is a XP newsgroup. Questions related to Yahoo Products should be posted here :
