XPPro CD reinstall

System failed to boot.
2 80g HDs.
Primary master may have been failing.
New install from CD to slave unintentionally.
After successful install discovered original HD was not listed.
System Information acknowledged its presence.
But currently unreadable.
50g of needed files exist there.
Is the above info enough for a helpful reply?
