XP won't read external devices

I have a FujiFilm S3000 digital camera, and one day I was
uploading pics and after hooking it up nothing happened.
I called Fuji and they said that it was a problem with an
XP update that was installed to my computer. They said
there was a new update I needed to install so that I'd be
able to upload pictures. Does anyone know what the update
that I need is? Thanks, Chris

If you go to Windows Update on the Start Menu, it will tell you what your
system needs and you can check the descriptions of the various updates to
see if they relate.
