XP Prof - Hotmail attachments will not download

R

rob

I am unable to download attachments when using Hotmail. This problem
commenced a few weeks ago and sometimes it disappears for short periods.
I have WindowsXP Prof, MSOffice, Norton AV and ZoneAlarm Prof.
The email with an attachment is received OK but when I try to download
the attachment I get the warning "you are not authorised to view this page".
I am currently only using 31% of my Hotmail storage allocation

Any advice on problems associated with Hotmail attachments would be very
much appreciated - Rob

Under the heading Virus Protection, uncheck 'do not allowAre you attempting to read the email from Outlook Express?

If so then:
CLick on Tools
Click on Options
Click on the Security Tab
Under the heading Virus Prtoection
uncheck 'do not allow attachments....etc'

Many thanks for your help. I am not using Outlook Express - just accessing
Hotmail through the website via Internet Explorer.

Any other ideas would be much appreciated - Rob

Problem solved - it was a ZoneAlarm Professional setting (Mime-type
integrated objects blocking) that was set which disallowed downloading
attachments through a browser.
Thanks to all for thinking about it - Rob
