XP Pro SP2. Folders safe to remove?

Ref. the previous question about removing the SP2 uninstall folders, can
anyone tell me if it is also safe to remove the many (hidden) update folders
titled $NtUninstallKB..... without causing any trouble (apart from being
unable to uninstall the updates, of course)?
Thanks

As long as you are sure about never uninstalling the update or security fix
then deleting all folders that have $NtUninstall in their name will not be a
problem. At the same time you can delete the .LOG files in the \windows
folder that will have a KB**** the same as the $NtUninstall folder.

Then you can go to Add or Remove programs and highlight the lsiting for the
items you deleted and select remove. Because the files and folders have been
removed/deleted by you, you will now be given the option to delete the
listing from Add or Remove as everything is now gone. (This will clean up
the Add or Remove listing.)
