InstallShield Update Manager?

Hello:

I am using XP PRO SP2.

I noticed for some reason I have a program called, InstallShield Update
Manager 3.0, from InstallShield Software Corporation. What I like to know
is, can I uninstall it without any harm to the XP InstallShield function? I
had to go there Website to get the uninstall file, since it was not listed
in the Add/Remove area of XP.

Any info regarding this area would be greatly appreciated.

---------------
Since, I am here. I do have another question about the "Local
Settings\Temp\" in Documents and Settings. This gets cluttered with a lot
of files, especially TMP files, but other files and folders too. Can I
safely deleted all these files and folders under the TEMP Folder? If so, is
there a special way in doing so?

Thanks,

MarkC

Its a third party tool that was installed when you installed some software
that uses InstallShield as its installation wrapper.
The idea behind it being that it informs you of updates to the specific
software
It is completely seperate to ms installation tool.
Uninstalling / removing it *may* impact on whatever software installed it.

Items in the Temp folder can generally be deleted.
They are usually files/folders created when installing something, files
created by apps you use, which should be, but often not, removed when you
close whatever app.
Disk Cleanup is one way to clean them
