XP pro installation probs-filesystem

I'm updating myXP home to XP pro. However whenever setup
launches and checks system compatability I get told no
valid system partitions (I know this is not the case as
I'm running setup from within windows).

I think the root of the problem lies with my linux
installation. I currently have 4 partitions, an NTFS for
windows, a FAT32 and then an ext3 and swap drive for
linux. Is the problem with using LILO changing the MBR??

cheers

Did you purchase a "retail" or an "OEM" version?
Only "retail versions" have upgrade capability.
"OEM versions" cannot upgrade and must be installed
on a reformatted drive or partition.
