XP Pro IE 6+++ SP2 browser won't open when OE incoming msg. link is clicked on...

Not sure which NG to report this to...but, when I receive an email on my OE6 that has a URL link, my browser no longer opens when I click on the link, or even hit Ctrl/Alt/click. I am able to Maximize the URL on my task bar, but it will not open automatically. What changed?

I use Windows Firewall, and its set to inform me when an intrusion is attempted. Also, using OneCare as a trial, and run OneCare for viruses, et al 2X/week...but had a terrible time with IE 7 so it was removed about 3 wks. ago. MS is phoning me on Monday about it. I have not used OneCare backup because I use ScnDisks and back up my computer weekly on them, and I want to know what is being downloaded from MS before its done, because some of the programs I do not have on my computer, thus I'm always in the red ("at Risk") with OneCare--a messy program, at best. Drives me nuts.

Thank you.

When you click on the link, is it going directly to the task bar as it if
was opened, and then minimized? The screen may have moved off the monitor.

Right click on the minimized message on the Taskbar and select Move. Now use
the arrow keys to get it in the screen. Close all other windows except this
one and use the cursor to drag the message to full screen size. File | Exit,
and Windows will remember the size when you open it again.

Sounds a bit confusing to a blind user, but I have noticed that my windows
open in the upper far right of my monitor, lately...this is new. I use
ZoomText, and if its working in IE (which is often does not) it'll start
reading a posted msg. before I can "find" it to respond, or delete, etc.

I'll do my best with these helpful hints...thank you alllllll!
