XP Pro Can not connect 1 machine to existing network

I can not connect a machine to my existing network. When I run the Network
Wizard, it completes, but never adds to my existing network. I can ping
other machines, and get a response, but I can not connect to other computers.
I can connect to the internet no problem. Any help.

I am having the same problem. I have configured the network, set the work
group name the same, removed the firewall, and just about everything else I
can think of. I have a router and 3 other computers that are talking but I
can get the 4th to work. It see the cable and tells me it is unpluged, but
when I plug it in it says I have limited or no network access.

Could it be that the 4th computer is not getting plugged into an actual
network jack on the router, but an uplink or other special use port? What
happens if you unplug an existing computer and plug #4 into that computer's
network port instead?
