XP Install

IF I upgrade from Win2k to XP will I have to change the file system on all
the HD in my computer? Also, I guess I will have to reinstall all programs,
add ons and everything, is that correct ?

Another question, why are most programs put in the C drive (where the OS is)
under programs, can they be put in another drive when they are installed and
if they are there do they have to be reinstalled when upgrading to XP from 2K
?

Probably silly questions, but many of us know very little about a lot of this.

Thanks,

* No

* Not normally but check the application instructions or web site for OS
upgrade details of procedures.

* Since the program's registration is tightly integrated in to the install
via the registry it only makes since to install to the system drive.

* Yes you can if you're short on space.

Always have on hand backups for anything you can't afford to lose.
