hi,

i just got a brand new dell dimension 4700. I decided to reformated
the disk since dell installs both a utility partion and a backup
partition which I don't want. So i reformat the disk and reinstall XP
Home (dell version). Anyway I get to the BIOS screen at startup, this
seems ok, then it goes i guess to start windows and the system resets
and the bios screen comes up again and again. I run chkdisk, fixboot,
and wotnot from the recovery console on the installation cd and
everything seems ok as is the boot.ini file. does anyone have any idea
of wot could be causing this.

thanks in advance
