xp help and support non functioning

I've been using xp for 2 weeks and each time I click help
and support from the start menu the hour glass appears,
disappears, and then nothing happens. What is my problem,
and how to fix. Thanks.

Nothing has worked. Help and support is on automatic, started, highlighted in areas to check. Tried kelly's and doug's, helpctr -regserver, and a couple others with no change. What next? Thanks.

Hi,

Still nothing? Ok, first, start/run "sfc /scannow" to verify the system file
set. If that doesn't help (and I don't suspect it will, but it needs to be
ruled out), then you have a software conflict. In other words, some running
process or application is interfering with the normal operation of H&S.
