help and support

I have a Sony vaio with XP home. a few days ago the help and support feature
in XP quit working. When I click on the start-help and support button I get
an hour glass for a second. the hour glass goes away and no help and
support. I retry several time the same thing over and over. is there
anything I can do to get this feature back?
