Hi All,
I recently had broadband, but formatted my hard drive due to various problems & I am basically starting out from new again, but can anyone tell me what connection/s I need to firewall for broadband? I have the following in network connections.

Aol disconnected
Connexant V92 56K PCI M

Local area connection 2
enabled
Global span USB ADSL Lan mod

Local area connection
network cable unplugged
Realtek RTL 8139 family PCI F

1394 Connection
enabled, firewalled
1394 net adapter

If anyone can check their own setup & let me know, then I would be most grateful, & thankyou in advance.

Ian.

ICF must be enabled for the internet connection source (Global span USB ADSL Lan mod). A third-party firewall such as ZoneAlarm is even better.

Start -> Help and Support
Search on "firewall".
For me, the first article shown, "Enable or disable Internet Connection
Firewall", is the first match listed.

Have it on for all connections that lead to the internet (your modem and
ADSL), off for the Local network connections
