XP drivers for Xerox Docuprint P12

The CD with printer drivers originally supplied with my Xerox Docuprint P12 (3.1,95,98) won't load on Win XP pro. The drivers supplied with the XP pro O.S. only allow the printer to print to 300 dpi resolution, but the printer is capable of printing 600 dpi. Xerox has no updates at their site, so at Xerox's suggestion I tried some designed for Windows NT. No luck. So now I have a perfectly good printer in excellent working condition, that I'm going to have throw away. Can anyone help

You either accept the limitation - or you purchase a new printer. Xerox TS
are a complete bunch of ******s. Had they been trained to any sort of
standard they'd know that NT drivers are too outdated to run under XP (and
they could have screwed up your system by asking you to try). Any printer
that still has 3.x drivers available is not going to sit too comfortably
with an OS released nearly 15 years later.

There is nothing you can do - if you need higher output then you must buy an
new unit.

Well, thank you for the response. It seems like such a waste.
