XP computers disconnecting from Shared Directory on W2K Server

This is a 20 node network that is being converted from
W98 PCs to XPPro. 8 XPPros have been deployed and they
are all having the same problem of random and frequently
disconnecting from \\server\sharedirectory. The w98 PCs
are not having this problem.

This is a very standard dhcp-based LAN with one
domain/workgroup. The XP machines are new Dell
Deminsions - don't recall the nic model.

Any and all help is appreciated.

sound like name resolution issue. since you have domain, you may want to
install internal DNS and WINS.
