XP bootup problems

I recently discovered my PC had a problem with a virus, I
downloaded Norman Virus Control and ran the scan
programme, it discovered several and deleted them.
However, since then when I bootup I get the following
error messages, desktop: could not load or run/windows
cannot find c:\windows\system32\dllreg.exe also
c:\progra~1\newdot~1.dll (rundll) error loading, the
specified module could not be found.
Can somebody please suggest a solution to restoring these
files or stopping them from appearing everytime i bootup
the PC.

Sounds like the virus files were removed but the anti-virus
program you used wasn't smart enough to remove the registry
entries that started the virus run when you boot.

You either need a better anti-virus, a registry cleaner that
is very good (and you have to be selective in what you let
it do) or edit your registry manually.
