My xp 2001 home, does not accept sp2 and 1, I want to down load office 2007
and small business but was unsuccessful . the message is that windows version
is old req updating. the windows updates reqd to run are not acceptede and
the office 2007 matching window updates are not accepted by the note book
with windows xp home 2001. compaq presario model.

how can I have these updates and run & down load office.

What error do you get when you try to install SP1? SP2? "does not accept
sp2" tells us nothing useful.

Well, there's no such thing as "xp 2001 home," so you might start by
telling us what operating system you really have, and then follow that
by quoting the exact error messages you get when you try to install the
Service Pack. Then, we might be able to help.
