XLSX files showing as zip when I try to open

I am working in OWA 2007 and when I try to open a .xlsx file it says I must
save it. When I right click and hit open it shows as a compressed zip folder
and forces me to save it to the desktop prior to opening. Any ideas how I
can simply open it without saving it and why it has an xlsx extension then
shows up as compressed?

Outlook Web Access isn't Outlook, it's an Internet Explorer interface to
the Exchange server. As to .xlsx files, well they really are compressed
zip files, because that is how Excel 2007 stores them.

Placing the OWA address in the trusted sites enables the download to work properly. No more ZIP defaulting.
