XL2000 LOCKS UP FORMULAS

L

lAURIE MAYER

Workbook opens fine and I am able to enter data as
necessary. However, when I attempt to use formulas
(+c1+c2+c3, etc.) or cut/copy/paste function workstation
locks up and I have to reboot losing all data entered.
This problem has been occuring for more than 3 months now
and I'm sick and tired of not being able to complete
projects on time. Now, it seems that when I open Word and
attempt to enter something in header/footer the same thing
is occuring. ANY SUGGESTIONS OR SOLUTIONS WOULD BE
GREATLY APPRECIATED

Laurie,

I don't have a solution for you. It sounds as though your files might have
gotten corrupted. What is most troubling is that it is affecting Word and
Excel.

I would check for viruses and spyware.

You might try your same data files (Excel and Word) on a different computer.
Same problems, then your data files are suspect. No problem, then your
installation is not correct.

Hopefully someone else will jump in.

If and only if your Excel file has no VBA code attached, I am willing to
look at it. If you can describe the steps that cause the problem, I can try
to reproduce it at my end. We might learn something about whether it is the
data file or the application. Should you want to send me your file, my
address is (e-mail address removed).

Best regards,
Kevin
