I'm a first time user of Windows Movie Maker and I've been trying to work on
a project. I imported photos but when I opened up my project some imported
photos had a red X on where they should have been in my collection and in the
project. Why? I had this happened before and I had to import the photos
again. This is the same project and I am now frustrated if I have to import
the pictures a 3rd time. How can I recover them without importing again or
what am I doing wrong?

=================================
Your .mswmm project file does not include
the source files...they still reside in their
original locations on the hard drive. If the
source files have been moved or deleted...
you will see RedXs.

There's a possibility that you can right click
the RedXs and browse to the source files
which will re-establish the path.
