Wrogn icon displayed for cd-roms.

When I insert some of my cd-roms, the wrong icon is displayed. Instead of
showing the proper icon, it's displaying an icon from a tombraider game,
tomb4.exe.

I tried deleting every instance of tomb4.exe from my system, and yet the
icon still displays.

On the cd-roms that show the wrong icons, the autorun.inf includes these
lines:

[autorun]
open=autorun.exe
icon=autorun.exe,0

If I click on "open" on the cd-rom I see the proper icon on autorun.exe.

There must be some other source for Windows XP to get icon information from,
but I can't find it.

Please help.

What service pack have you installed?

SP2 and all updates. If I go to windows or microsoft update, I see (0)
updates for my system.

What I'm trying to find is this hidden cache for icons. If I do a search,
there are no instanced of the program with the problem icon that keeps
showing up, and *.ico files anywere on my system that have this icon.

I did use visual studio.net 2002 to add the tomb4 ico to a special version
of tomb4.exe, but I've since deleted this tom4.exe, and actaully all
instances of tomb4.exe on all of my hard drives.

Why this woudl affect the icon from autorun.exe on a cd-rom doesn't make
sense to me.

I uninstalled visual stuido .net 2002 (I recently bought visual studio pro
2005), and I'm still having this problem.

Problem answered in another post. I deleted this file:

F:\Documents and Settings\Jeff\Local Settings\Application Data\
iconcache.db
