Working online

Somehow since today morning my outlook setting has got changed to "Offline".
This means that everytime I want to send out mails or receive mails I am
obliged to click on SEND/RECEIVE Button.

I am connected on my office lan.

how do I change back the option to "Online"? I tried exiting outlook and
re-starting outlook, but that did not seem to solve the problem. Isn't there
any means by explicitly asking outlook to put me online?

Click the Offline symbol in the Status bar and uncheck Work Offline or click
File and uncheck Work Offline.
