Workbook versions

Hi everyone,

I have a user who when he opens a workbook instead of the single
version of the workbook opening two versions of the workbook are
opened. These two versions of the same workbook are opened and
displayed, the two workbooks are titled with name:1 and name:2 . How
can I remove one version of this sheet so there is only one workbook
open.

Please help.

Please don't post the same message in multiple groups - it just tends to

I wonder if there is something in the Workbook.open event that opens the
workbook a second time.

It's two windows of one workbook, invoked by Window>New. Just close one
window (using the red cross at the top left of the workbook) and maximise
the remaining one and save the workbook.
