All of my Excel Workbooks have suddenly become ‘Protected’.

I used to be able to ‘move & copy’ from one workbook to another, now I can no longer do so?

Even if I open a new, blank workbook it opens as a protected workbook.

I cannot unprotect any of my books because they ask for a password that I do not have because I never protected them in the first place.

Can anyone advise please.

I am no expert on Excel and cannot answer your question but there may be an answer in here......

If you really get stuck there's always System Restore where you put things back to an earlier time before these changes occurred.

Many thanks.

I have looked at this ‘Ablebits.com’ site before but found it difficult to unprotect a workbook without a password.

I will try it again as it does look like the most comprehensive solution.:)
